I have had my studio in Vernon Mill , Stockport, since 2000 when they were first established.
Prior to this I taught art in high schools for 25 years.
My approach to painting and the techniques I have used are varied although in recent years I have concentrated mainly on using water colours.
I have exhibited my work throughout the north of England during this time.

Since 2012 I have spent more time in France where I have had the opportunity to work plein air.
I work from my studio in Chez Redon – a small hamlet in the Charente.
I enjoy using the weather and light together with the rural landscapes in my work.
This is reflected in my new website where my work has developed naturally from my experiences there.
At present I am producing a series of prints based on my field studies.
